A native of Richmond, VT, Alex Grant moved to Salt Lake City in 1998 to attend the University of Utah and experience all of the great outdoor recreation possibilities that Utah has to offer. Alexhas always been an avid mountain biker and snowboarder/skier, and Salt Lake offers the perfect place to pursue those passions along with a college degree.

He graduated from the U with a Spanish/Business degree in 2002 and has spent the last ten years working in various outdoor and bike related jobs. Throughout this time he has also been racing mountain bikes on a professional level. He has enjoyed top results at races like the grueling La Ruta de Los Conquistadores in Costa Rica where he was 2nd place overall in 2009 and 2010, as well as the Leadville 100 where he placed 3rd in 2011 and 4th in 2009.

In addition to racing, Alex co-owns an outdoor gear consignment business called Gear Rush, based in the Millcreek area. Alex currently lives in Sugarhouse and can be found riding the excellent local trails at every opportunity!
