Bio:
Salt Lake is a vibrant city brimming with diversity. The diversity and rapid growth of Salt Lake has compelled Melodia to contribute her free time to participate in the integration and empowerment of minorities in Utah. She works towards social equality. As a Latina, when Melodia first moved to Salt Lake she was confused about where she fit into the city. Melodia soon found Centro Civico Mexicano, The Pride Center, and the Mestizo Institute of Culture and Arts. Through these institutions and other grass roots work she has participated in the mobilization of minority communities to work towards social equality for all. Whether its immigration, sexual orientation, or education, Melodia will be on the ground fighting for equal rights for all.
