Charity: She Jumps
Bio:
Jen Hudak is a professional freeride skier who moved to Utah eight years ago to further her career in halfpipe skiing while training on “the best snow on earth.” In the eight years since she has been living in the Salt Lake area, Jen has proven to be one of the top in her field with 5 Winter X-Games medals and a 2010 ESPY nomination for “Female Action Sports Athlete of the Year.” Jen’s passion and dedication for skiing is not only evident on the slopes, but off the slopes as well. She has consistently fought for gender-equality in her sport, lobbying for equal prize money and contest appearances for women. She strives to be an inspiration for young girls in the Salt Lake area and beyond by encouraging increased participation in skiing and other actions sports. Jen also advocated for the inclusion of halfpipe skiing in the next winter Olympics, and as a current member of the US Freeskiing Team she hopes to represent Salt Lake City in Sochi, Russia in 2014.
